Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make an appointment? To make an appointment by phone, call us at (714) 594 - 9420. We also accept walk-in patients. To make an appointment online please click here or navigate to the "schedule an appointment" tab at the top of the page.
What should I bring to my appointment? You are required to bring a current California photo identification, such as a driver's license. If you do not have a non expired California ID please bring government issued identification, such as a passport. Although it is not mandatory, it is helpful to bring copies of medical records that document your condition. Doctor records, prescriptions, x-rays, MRIs, or disability paperwork are all welcome. Please dress comfortably and allow at least half an hour for your initial evaluation.
How do I know if I qualify? California law dictates that any patient who may have benefits from medical marijuana may use it if recommended by a physician. There are many uses for medical cannabis including reduced pain, less anxiety, decreased nausea, an improved metabolism, and better sleep. An evaluation with us is the first step in understanding if you will find relief.
Is my information kept private? Yes, your personal information will never be shared or collected for external purposes. As our patient you are protected by numerous medical laws as well as HIPAA privacy guidelines. No one else will document the nature of your visits or patient status. Your information will not appear on any government, public, or private list. Our site is encrypted and all employees are required to undergo an extensive background check.
Will I have to register with the state for a Medical Marijuana ID Card? No, participating in the state registry is completely voluntary. In 2002 Senate Bill 420 included a provision for an optional state registry. The registry program is named the "Medical Marijuana ID Card Program." If you choose to enroll your information will be kept in a database similar to the DMV. To enroll you must go to your local Department of Health, submit an application, pay a fee, and submit a copy of your approval for medical marijuana use from a physician. After verifying documentation you will be mailed a State ID card. This is entirely optional. It is not required by us.
